There is a freedom that comes when you stop trying to awaken.
Not because you’ve perfected forgiveness.
Not because you’ve mastered projection work.
Not because you’ve upgraded the character.
But because you finally lose interest in managing the dream.
In The Disappearance of the Universe, written by Gary Renard, the Four Attitudes of Learning map the mind’s unwinding in four stages:
Dualism.
Semi-Dualism.
Non-Dualism.
Pure Non-Dualism, which is Pure Oneness.
Most of us move through these stages gradually.
But Pure Non-Dualism/Oneness isn’t a stage you achieve.
It’s the quiet recognition that there was never a journey.
And when that recognition begins to stabilize, something extraordinary happens.
You become… dangerous.
Dangerous to illusion.
What Pure Non-Dualism/Oneness Actually Feels Like
It does not feel mystical.
It does not feel dramatic.
It does not feel superior.
It feels amused.
The ego performs.
You laugh.
The world agitates.
You observe.
The body reacts.
You soften.
Not because you’re bypassing.
Not because you’re suppressing.
Not because you’re spiritually advanced.
But because you know.
“You are not a body. You are free.” (W-199)

Not metaphorically free.
Actually free.
Free from needing to improve the character.
Free from needing to win the argument.
Free from needing the dream to resolve in a certain way.
This is what we were laughing about.
The ego is getting spa-ritualized. (My made-up word to describe the spiritual ego getting the spa treatments of self-improvement.)
It doesn’t mind being healed.
It doesn’t mind being improved.
It doesn’t even mind being exposed.
It only minds being irrelevant.
And Pure Non-Dualism/Onesess makes ego irrelevant.
The Freedom of Oneness
When you begin recognizing Oneness not as concept but as fact:

You stop defending perception.

You stop over-processing triggers.

You stop dramatizing ascension.

You stop narrating your awakening.
You become lighter.
And here’s the paradox:
You become more loving.
Not because you try.
But because there’s no “other” left to oppose.
Oneness dissolves opposition at the root.
Not through effort.
Through irrelevance.
When there is only God,
there is no battleground to transcend.
There never was.
What This Looks Like in Daily Life
It looks like smiling at your own tightening.
It looks like noticing political charge and withdrawing belief instead of refining your stance.
It looks like catching pride in your spiritual clarity — and smiling gently.
It looks like resting.
Not as collapse.
As sufficiency.
This is not the intensity of early awakening while still anchored in the density of Duality.
This is not the zeal of Semi-Dualism.
This is the steadiness of the period of achievement.
The ego still arises.
It just no longer convinces.

Awareness aware of itself.
That is not mystical.
It is ordinary.
It is intimate.
It is here.
And when you live from there?
You are dangerous to illusion.
Unimpressed by fear.
Untethered from identity.
Not hardened.
Free.
