Theme of the Week: What ACIM Really Says About Energy
We hear the word energy everywhere — spiritual energy, high vibes, frequency, aura, chi. But have you ever paused to ask:
How does A Course in Miracles speak of energy?
As someone who has been both a student and a guide of this sacred path for many years, I’ve often been asked this question. The answer isn’t found in volts or chakras, but in something much deeper, much simpler… and far more powerful.
In ACIM, energy is the creative power of the mind.
Every thought carries an impact. It either aligns with Love and extends, or it aligns with fear and projects. There’s no middle ground.
“There are no idle thoughts. All thinking produces form at some level.” ACIM T-2. VI.9:13
Let that sink in.
Your energy is your thought.
When you think with God, you remember your Light. When you think with the ego, you generate illusions. The difference is felt not just emotionally, but also energetically — tired vs. inspired, effortful vs. flowing.
Here are a few ways ACIM invites us to reclaim our energy through awareness:
Light = Energy = Truth. You are described as a mirror of divine light. Your radiance is not earned—it’s remembered.
Love is the only real current. It flows endlessly, extending without loss, like an eternal song of remembrance.
Forgiveness restores your flow. Withdraw belief from illusion, and the mind’s peace returns—with it, power.
Effort is a sign of ego “energy.” If you’re striving, controlling, or exhausted… you’ve unplugged from Source. That’s good news—because it means you can plug back in.
Love is the only real current.
It flows endlessly, like an eternal song of remembrance. It extends without loss.
“In A Course in Miracles, energy is not measured in watts or vibrations,
but in the quality of thought.
Love is the current. Forgiveness is the circuit.
The mind is the holy generator of miracles.”
Practice For the Week
This week, let your power come from Presence, not push:
- Notice when you feel effortful, heavy, or tired
- Ask gently: “Who is thinking this—my ego or my Soul?”
- Take one conscious breath and return to loving awareness
- Let go of the need to do and allow yourself to be energy
