Opening Reflection
Beloved,
What if honesty isn’t something you practice…
but something that evolves as your identity softens?
Most people believe they are honest.
But what we often call honesty…
is simply the mind protecting what it believes is true.
And in the earlier stages of awakening…
That protection is necessary.
The Lake House Remembered
There was a time in my life when much of my inner work unfolded at my Lake House.
It was there, between moments of teaching workshops and hosting family gatherings,
that I began to see something I couldn’t yet name:
I wasn’t as honest as I thought I was.
Not because I was lying…
But because I needed to be right.
At the time, I didn’t recognize this as ego.
I experienced it as certainty.
As strength.
As finally having a voice.
And in many ways…
It was.
When Being Right Is Part of the Path
There is a stage in awakening where being right feels essential.
It stabilizes you
It gives you a new ground to stand on
It allows you to speak when you’ve been silent for too long
Looking back, I can see that my righteousness…
Was not a mistake.
It was a bridge.
There were things I needed to say
that I had been too afraid to say before.
And even though some of those expressions were not loving…
They were still an act of self-honoring.
The Evolution of Honesty
Over time, honesty began to refine itself.
Not through effort…
But through willingness.
What once felt like truth…
began to reveal its distortions.
And what I came to see was this:
- At first, honesty says: “I must be right so I can stand my ground.”
- Then it becomes: “I must be right because I believe I am right.”
- Then something softens: “I’m willing to see where I’m wrong.”
- And eventually…
“There is no need to be right… only willingness to see.”
This is the quiet evolution of the mind.
The Spiritualized Ego
One of the most subtle stages is what I call the spiritualized ego.
It can speak gently.
It uses love and light language.
It appears wise.
But underneath…
it still needs to be right
it still defends identity
it still protects its position
And this is where honesty becomes essential.
Not harsh honesty.
Not self-judgment.
But the kind of honesty that simply asks:
“What part of me needs this to be true?”
Integration in Daily Life
You don’t need to force yourself to be more honest.
You don’t need to correct every reaction.
Instead, you can begin with this:
Notice when you feel the need to be right
Pause… without fixing it
Become curious instead of defensive
That curiosity…
is the doorway.
Because honesty, at its deepest level, is not about being correct.
It is about being willing to see.

Closing Transmission
There is nothing in your past that needs to be corrected.
Every stage you moved through…
was part of Love learning how to recognize itself without defense.
Even the moments that felt unloving…
were simply places where Love had not yet been fully seen.
And now…
You are no longer trying to be right.
You are willing to see.
And in that willingness…
Peace is inevitable.
Love is welcome.
Happiness is.
