What if the most controversial conversations happening in the world right now…
Aren’t actually about political policies.
What if they are revealing the state of our mind?
Recently, in the Awareness Academy, we explored the current Supreme Court case around birthright citizenship.
Not to take sides…
But to see ourselves.
Because that is what we do inside this community.
We don’t use the world to prove we are right.
We use the world as a mirror
to recognize where we are still divided within ourselves.
And this topic…
beautifully exposed something many spiritual seekers quietly wrestle with:
If we are One… shouldn’t there be no borders at all?
Yes.
And…
not yet.
This is where spiritual maturity begins.
A Course in Miracles teaches us:
“I am as God created me.”
“The Son of God is my identity.”
Which means:
There are no true outsiders.
No real separation.
No one who is not part of the One.
But here is the part many teachings skip…
We are not yet living from that awareness.
And pretending we are…
does not make it so.
What the World Is Showing Us
When we look at current events through the ego, we pick sides:
- “Let everyone in.”
- “Close everything down.”
- "Kick everyone out."
But these positions can be driven by fear.
The real question is not:
Which side is right?
The real question is:
What is the state of the mind choosing the side?
Because until the mind is healed…
every solution will recreate the problem in a different form.
The Truth About Boundaries
This is where the conversation becomes real.
And honest.
And practical.
We cannot open the doors of the house…
while the house is still in disorder.
Not from fear.
Not from rejection.
But from responsibility.
Just like in our own healing journey:
There are times when we must:
- step back
- create space
- establish boundaries
Not because we are separate…
But because we are learning how to live from wholeness.
A world that has not yet remembered its unity
cannot function as if it already has.
The Evolution of Awareness
As consciousness evolves, so does identity:
- First: my group, my country, my people
- Then: humanity, global citizenship
- Eventually: Oneness… without division
But we don’t skip steps.
Humanity is still learning:
- responsibility
- integrity
- honesty
Without these…
oneness becomes an idea…
not a lived reality.
The Deeper Invitation
So the question is not:
Should there be borders?
The question is:
Are we living in a way where they are no longer needed?
And if the answer is not yet…
Then the work is not “out there.”
The work is within.
Because every system in the world
reflects the consciousness of the people within it.

Beloved…
You are not here to fix the world.
You are here to see through it.
To recognize where the mind still divides…
and gently return it to truth.
You are as God created you.
Whole.
Free.
Unlimited.
And so is everyone else.
But until that truth is lived…
we walk the middle path.
Not choosing sides…
but choosing awareness.
Not reacting…
but remembering.
And in that remembrance…
the world begins to change.
Not because we forced it to…
But because we no longer need it to be what it never was.
